Abstract

This article discusses technologies for developing knowledge in 8th-grade students about solid bodies, their types and properties, crystals and amorphous substances, crystal lattices, mono- and polycrystals, isotropic and anisotropic properties of crystals, their structure, thermal expansion, specific heat capacity, melting, and solidification. It also describes methods for applying theoretical knowledge about solids in practice. Using virtual physics laboratory work, the teacher demonstrates experiments and organizes laboratory activities, thereby developing students’ skills in working with physical instruments. Students study the structure and operating principles of measuring devices and equipment, and acquire the ability to observe physical phenomena, perform laboratory experiments, and explain their results. In addition, through presentations, students learn about the application of solid materials in everyday life and technology, as well as the practical use of artificially grown single crystals. They become familiar with information about the use of single crystals grown in the laboratory of Kyrgyz specialist Askarbek Alybakov in devices that emit laser beams.
