Abstract
This article analyzes the didactic potential of using homemade devices (teaching aids) in the process of teaching mechanics in school, and its comprehensive impact on the educational process. The research indicates that homemade devices play a key role in enhancing students' interest and internal motivation, connecting abstract theoretical knowledge with practical skills, and developing their technical and creative abilities. The article examines the didactic functions of homemade devices, such as visualization, activation, and motivation, and their effectiveness is scientifically and methodologically substantiated using the example of a homemade model of Maxwell's Pendulum.
