Abstract
This article examines the trends in the development of mediation in the Kyrgyz Republic. The use of mediation in resolving the interests of disputing parties through mutual agreement, as well as in protecting human rights and freedoms, helps preserve the personal interests of the parties, ensures the achievement of agreements that meet their interests, promotes the development of a culture of peaceful conflict resolution, and strengthens public trust. Experts note that the development of mediation requires a solid legal framework, close cooperation between mediators and courts, sufficient public awareness of mediators’ activities, the formulation and implementation of state policy in the field of mediation, and the development of regulatory legal acts on mediation issues. In addition, the development of mediation depends on its practical application and on ensuring the professional training of mediators.
