Abstract

The article examines similarities and differences between English and Kyrgyz holidays, analyzing their historical, religious, and cultural contexts. It highlights how holidays foster social cohesion, preserve traditions, and transmit values, despite differing origins and forms of celebration. The study also discusses the influence of globalization and modernization on holiday practices.
